Milan in a nutshell – monuments and hidden treasures of Milan

Welcome in Milan! I am Inge, originally from The Netherlands but in Milan since 2012. Not many are aware of the beauty of this city and that’s why I developed the walking tour Milan in a Nutshell. It is a perfect way to get to know Milan in just two hours. You will discover how much the city has to offer, both in terms of history, culture and leisure activities.

We will meet underneath the contemporary architecture in Porta Garibaldi. After admiring the marvellous Bosco Verticale and the other buildings in the area, we will head towards Corso Garibaldi. This is a lively street with lots of (affordable) boutiques, bars and restaurants. After around one hour we will enter the cosy Brera neighborhood. Apart from enjoying the car-free streets we will walk through the historic botanical garden (free entrance). Now it is only a short walk before we arrive ad the main monuments in the city. From Teatro alla Scala we walk through the beautiful Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II to the Piazza del Duomo, the final stop of this city walk.

During the tour we will both see the cities highlights as well as more hidden treasures which are absolutely worth a visit. During the citywalk through Milan we can chat and you have the chance to ask me more about live in an Italian city.

Tours are available for bookings from 1 tot 12 people. Prices for a two hours during private tour for guests of Lakeview apartment Lake Como are 110€ for up to five people. I also developed a family-friendly version of this tour, perfect for two adults and a maximum of 3 kids up to 14 years old. The price for this tour is 140€ and includes a coffee, a treasure hunt, an ice cream for the kids and a small souvenir.
